Congratulations to Professor Erin O’Hara-Leslie, who received an award at this year’s Southern Tier Scholastic Science Fair!
She received the Sigma XI Certificate of Recognition of Outstanding Service in Support of Research Scientists for Dedicated Service to the Southern Tier Scholastic Science Fair and Triple Cities New York Chapter.
Chair of the Medical Assisting and Health Studies program, Professor O’Hara-Leslie has been working with the Science Fair since 2008, serving as a committee member since 2010.
In memory of her father-in-law, in 2014 she and her family started the Matthew Leslie Memorial Award for Excellence in Environmental Conservation or Health. Professor O’Hara-Leslie has been helping with the science fair awards from the beginning, and has done the calligraphy for special awards for the past four years.
