SUNY Broome held its ninth annual Homeless Awareness Sleepout on May 18.

SUNY Broome’s ninth annual Homeless Awareness Sleepout drew 35 people and 15 spent the night sleeping outdoors, raising awareness of the realities of homelessness in our community.

The goal of the Homeless Awareness Sleepout is to help the Southern Tier Homeless Coalition bring resources to families and individuals struggling with homelessness.
It’s not too late to help! People interested in donating should write a check to FSA with “sleep out” in the notation area of check. We would like to get all donations in by June 4, and they should be sent directly to FSA.
