Students, our top priority is to make sure our campus community remains safe as classes begin this fall. In order to do this, we have created a mix of face to face, blended, synchronous, and asynchronous courses.
Below is some important information on how to identify these courses, how to access them, and where to get your questions answered.
What are the different modes, how do they work?
- Fully Online Asynchronous
- Blended (Hybrid)
- Synchronous Remote
- Web Supplemented
- Traditional (“Face to face”)
How can I see if my courses are going to be delivered in one of these remote modes?
Look for a Y, B or R in your course code:
- Y = Fully Online Asynchronous (Example: ENG 110Y01)
- B = Blended (Example: ENG 110B01)
- R = Synchronous Remote (Example: ENG 110R01)
Web supplemented and traditional (“face to face”) courses will not have an extra letter in the course code (Example: ENG 110 01)
How and when do I access the course?
What if I’m having trouble or have any questions?

The most important advice we can give is to STAY CONNECTED. If you have a question about coursework don’t hesitate, be sure to ask your instructor. Read “the Buzz” email newsletter so you can always know what’s going on, and take advantage of virtual opportunities and activities when they are offered.
See you very soon!
