The 2019 American Heart Association Heart Walk — held right here at SUNY Broome — raised more than $298,488. SUNY Broome had 10 teams this year and they collectively raised and donated $4,627!
A large portion of the donations will stay right in our home town and go to our own sister school, Binghamton University, for research.
Thanks to our SUNY Broome Heart Walk Committee and all the students, faculty, and staff for a great year of fund raising events! And a special thanks the students and faculty from Medical Assisting, Physical Therapist Assistant, Nursing and Dental Hygiene for providing blood pressure readings, hands-only CPR training, stretching exercises, and dental hygiene education to the participants at the event.
