Two women at a white board in a business setting

Attention, female business owners: Learn how you can compete for state contracts at a free information session from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm Feb. 25 at our Owego Campus Center!

Certification as a minority or women-owned business enterprise (M/WBE) allows business owners to compete for state contracts, and involves a complex application process. SUNY Broome’s Darlene Kanuk has helped more than 70 local businesses complete their applications. During her free eight-week training session, you’ll do just that — and take your next step on the road to certification.

Training sessions will run from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm March 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31 and April 7, 14 and 21 in the Owego Campus Center computer lab.

Governor Andrew Cuomo has set a 30 percent utilization goal for M/WBEs. Don’t let this opportunity pass you by!
