As you all know by now, for Fall 2019 and future semesters, midterm grades will be reported using Starfish, which will provide immediate notification to students. This email is intended to present you with some useful instructions and information on how the new process of reporting midterm grades in Starfish will work.
In place of entering midterm grades in Banner, they will be reported using Starfish via a Progress Survey. The Progress Survey is a format many faculty are already familiar with. If you are teaching a full-term course, you will receive an email on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 when the survey becomes available. A complete “Quick Guide” for this process is attached to this email, is available by clicking on this link and has been delivered in hard copy to all faculty mailboxes.
The Technology Faculty Ambassadors, Maria Montemagno and Erin Frye, and the Starfish Core Team are available for training and support for this process. The Technology Faculty Ambassadors would be happy to do a custom training or group training (division/department meeting) upon request. You can make that request by clicking here.
Additionally, feel free to drop in to “Starfish Central” in Business Building Room 211 during any of the days/times listed below for training, or to complete your midterm grade submission:
- Wednesday, October 9: 1-3pm
- Thursday, October 10: 11am-12pm
- Friday, October 11: 9-11am
- Wednesday, October 16: 1-3pm
- Thursday, October 17: 10am-12pm
- Friday, October 19: 9-11am
