Experiencing the Everglades film showing

Join us for the Experiencing the Everglades film premiere at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 21 at WSKG studios!

For more than 45 years, SUNY Broome’s BIO 200: Ecology of the Everglades class has headed to one of the world’s rare and endangered wilderness areas to see its unique ecosystems firsthand – and have some adventures along the way.

In 2016, Communications & Media Arts majors Nick Venuti and A.J. Bush attended and filmed the Everglades course, creating a documentary with the assistance of instructor Ed Evans. The documentary marked the first time that these two academic areas worked together on an off-campus production.

The event will give participants the opportunity to see the film before it airs on WSKG early next year.

Admission is free but pre-registration is required. WSKG studios are located at 601 Gates Road in Vestal. Learn more and register at: www.sunybroome.edu/evergladesfilm
