What a time for our community, our students and our campus as we deal with the effects of this global pandemic. We want you to know that through all of this, you have our support, we are thinking of you and we are wishing you well during this very uncertain time!
Our faculty and staff have made major adjustments and have done so with our greatest asset in mind – our students. In many cases, our educators have completely reinvented their teaching model while our staff have had to either secure and clean the campus or keep the college running from their home-offices and kitchen tables. We applaud you and recognize your significant efforts in continuing the college’s mission of education.
The BCC Foundation staff offer our best wishes for you and your family to stay safe and healthy in your homes. We are all in this together!
Though we had to cancel all of our events for this spring semester, our Faculty & Staff Campaign is ongoing. We understand that this time is difficult for everyone, both personally and financially, and that the needs of the campus and our students are changing daily.
We are working with the college to establish a Student Emergency Fund so that we are prepared in the future to assist our students during times of crisis. We have many people ask “how can I help?” Our answer is simply, in whatever way, in whatever time-frame that you feel is appropriate for you. We appreciate, but do not expect, your support at this time.
Faculty & Staff Candy Heart Challenge Winner
Congratulations to Kate Taylor
Thank you to everyone who participated in the Faculty and Staff Campaign Candy Heart Challenge! While Mail Courier Ryan Dempsey gave Academic Advising Chair Kate Taylor a run for her money with a very similar guess, Kate’s pick was closer at only about 20 hearts off of the correct amount of 453 hearts.
She won both the Valentine’s themed basket and the candy heart jar. Congratulations!
