SUNY Broome Health & PR Team students with Dr. Kim McLain & Professor Tim Skinner put their research knowledge to the test to educate across the curriculum.

On March 8, the team went to the BC Center. Children were read a book about germs, engaged in a sing-along and saw their hands “glow” with germs after playing with crayons sprinkled with glo-germ; they also engaged in a finger-painting activity to show how we spread germs when shaking hands.

On March 9, the team went to the Student Village. Students demonstrated how sharing food and touching items can lead to the transfer of germs. Thank you Kayla, Wilson, Tony and Lola for providing food and hosting!

Thank you BC Center and Student Village for allowing us to spread awareness about proper hand hygiene at your facilities.
