Senior Physical Therapist Assistant students will be presenting their Cultural Competence in Healthcare poster boards to faculty, staff and students from 9:15 to 11:30 a.m. Nov. 8 in the Decker atrium.
The students have explored a wide variety of cultures, including but not limited to the Amish, Japanese, Hmong, Korean and Chinese. The boards contain information about each cultures customs, healthcare beliefs and information that will foster improved cross-cultural communication and interventions in a professional/healthcare setting.
