Two of the 16 Vanguard Award finalists are SUNY Broome students:
- Allison Baumgart, nominated by Communications & Media Arts Instructor Ed Evans; and
- Nathan Smales, nominated by Physical Therapist Assisting Professor Julianne Klepfer.
Congratulations to both Allison and Nathan on advancing to the finalist round, and to the nomination efforts of Instructor Evans and Professor Klepfer!
The Vanguard Award goes to is now accepting nominations for this prestigious award. Please nominate an outstanding student who is pursuing a Career & Technical Education (CTE) program that is nontraditional for his/her gender.
Over the past five years, seven SUNY Broome students have won Vanguard Awards for their work in Physical Therapy Assisting, Engineering Science, Criminal Justice, Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Nursing and Early Childhood Education.
