Did you know that germs can be transferred from inanimate objects such as pens, cell phones and sponges to your hands?

The average kitchen dishcloth can contain 4 billion living germs (American Cleaning Institute, 2017). You transfer all those bacteria to everything you touch, including your cell phone, hands, and face!

Microwave damp sponges for 1 minute or place them in the dishwasher on the drying cycle. Replace them on a regular basis. Wash your hands before and after preparing food or eating, especially raw poultry, meat or seafood: 20 seconds, water and soap is all it takes!
