The Federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act authorizes colleges to award emergency financial aid grants to students for their allowable expenses that are related to the disruption of campus operations due to coronavirus. Allowable expenses include food, housing, course materials, technology and computer, health care, dependent care, transportation, and other expenses under the cost of attendance.
Students are strongly encouraged to check their SUNY Broome email to review if they have been offered a CARES ACT Base Emergency Grant. Students should review the information in the email and select the link enclosed to proceed with accepting or declining their Emergency Grant Funds.
