People painting messages on the Ice Center rink as part of Hockey 4 Hope

Love hockey and want to make a difference? Join us this weekend for the 10th annual Hockey 4 Hope event at the SUNY Broome Ice Center!

Join us on Friday, March 29, for Paint the Ice from 5 to 8 p.m. For a $5 donation, you can paint a message of hope, love or remembrance onto the ice for a loved one.

And Saturday, March 30, is the big game! The puck drops at 7 p.m. (doors open at 6). Watch retired NHLer, Chris Bala (Ottawa Senators) play along side cancer survivors Mark Laskoski, Sean Gamsby and Craig Bland! There will also be some amazing raffle items – autographed Jack Eichel, Binghamton Devils, Syracuse Crunch, Chris Kreider, and Montreal Canadian jerseys!

Hockey 4 Hope raises money to help alleviate the financial burden associated with cancer. Proceeds will be donated to The Geller Oncology Fund at Lourdes Hospital & Constance Foundation, and will help families in need.

The first game was played in 2010 and was established in memory of Constance Glauser, who passed away from breast cancer in May 2006. Visit http://www.hockey4hope.com/ for more information.
