Campus Compact

As we come off a week of violence—mass shootings, and the killings of Daunte Wright and Adam Toledo by police—with the verdict in the trial of Derek Chauvin for the killing of George Floyd looming, heaviness weighs upon those of us working towards a vision of the beloved community. Campus Compact is committed to democratic values: full participation and equity. We understand the implications of this moment for our work, within colleges and universities and in partnership with our communities. We are focused, above all, on moving from words to action.

To help us find the individual and collective strength we need, Campus Compact has been holding space for a discussion of the Chauvin verdict. Please join Campus Compact in this discussion, and help create a space of compassion, respect, authenticity, courage, and community.

Please Register to be notified of the date and Zoom link to join the Campus Compact discussion.

Campus Compact is a national coalition of colleges and universities committed to the public purposes of higher education. We build democracy through civic education and community development. For an overview of who we are, visit Campus Compact.
