Hannah Meyn

All hearts have the potential to be touched by a nurse. It makes a huge difference to a patient when they get a nurse who will empathize with them and treat them as a person rather than a diagnosis.

Hannah Meyn earned her Nursing Degree from SUNY Broome in 2012 and had an amazing career as a nurse in various hospitals. Sadly, on Oct. 4th, 2017, she passed away very unexpectedly at the age of 29.

To honor her memory, the Hannah E. Meyn Nursing Scholarship was created to ensure continued healthcare expertise and compassion in the professionals graduating from SUNY Broome. The small things that we do for everybody can actually add up and create a huge effect. Help us spread the love!

The Hannah’s Hearts and Soles 5K run will be held Oct. 20 at the Vestal Coal House (Rail Trail). The 5K will begin at 11 a.m. The run will be open to the public and promoted throughout the greater central New York area. There will be post-race food, drink, awards, and a 50/50 raffle. All proceeds will benefit the Hannah E Meyn Nursing Scholarship to help aspiring nurses at SUNY Broome.
