Prior to the COVID-19 outbreak, required annual health and safety trainings were conducted in person. Now that the college is adapting to remote work and social distancing, the required training is available online within Blackboard. Most everyone has access to Blackboard to complete the trainings. If you do not have access to Blackboard please contact Carine Surdey (surdeycm@sunybroome.edu) for assistance.
These trainings need to be completed annually by any person who works within our campus community. If you would prefer a group/department training conducted via Zoom or Google Meet, please contact Marie Finelli (finellime@sunybroome.edu) to schedule.
We are working to update the training for the 2021 calendar year and hope to be able to hold in person training again soon.
Instructions to Access Trainings
To access the trainings, log into your MyCollege account and select the Blackboard link at the left-hand side of the screen (LaunchPad area). Once you are in Blackboard, you will see a link to “2020 Annual Trainings” under “My Organizations” on the right-hand side of the screen.
Select the folder names “Trainings for All Employees”.
Training courses that are currently available will appear in this folder (Workplace Violence, Right-to-Know, C.S.A.)
Each training course will have a quiz at the end. Once completed, you will be in compliance for the Annual Employee Training requirement for the 2020 calendar year. You will also receive a badge for each course that you complete.
