Twenty-five people attended this year’s Sleep Out for the Homeless and seven people slept out, including the chronologically challenged Professor Doug Garnar!
Several speakers spoke passionately about the number of homeless people in Broome County (approximately 2,000, including 300 children).
Anyone interested in making a donation can do so by writing a check to the “Homeless Coalition of the Southern Tier” and see that is sent to Doug Garnar (his mailbox in T-210. #66). Any donations must be received by May 29.
